2007 Shelby 1000 Convertible

From the Larry Mclanahan Collection

This 2007 Shelby 1000 Convertible was bought new by Mr. McLanahan in 2007 as a GT500 and it is finished in Black with a black ghost stripes and a black convertible top.  He sent it to Shelby America to get it updated to the Super Snake Limited Edition package in July of 2008 costing over $30k.  In November of 2008, he was chosen to receive the 427 Las Vegas Edition which cost $6k.  Then in January of 2012, this car was updated again at Shelby receiving all the upgrades to the newly created 1000 package which cost $73k.  This car, and the red serial #003, were completed side by side at the Shelby facility.  During this 1000 hp upgrade, Shelby used the exhaust as a template for the 1000 cars since the convertibles have additional bracing underneath, the room is more restricted.  See attached documents for build details of each of these iterations.  It features a functional fiberglass Super Snake hood with pins, carbon fiber splitter, mirror covers and rocker panels, side scoops, rear spoiler, and Super Snake/427 badging.  Only 918 original miles on this Shelby!

It is powered by a hand-assembled 5.4-liter V8 was fitted with the following components as part of the Shelby 1000 S/C package:  Shelby/Kenne Bell 3.6 liquid cooled supercharger with a revised inlet pipe and mass airflow meter, Shelby connecting rods, bearings, pistons, and rings, Shelby “blower grind” camshafts, Shelby Stage 3 ported cylinder heads, Revised valve springs and titanium retainers, Shelby oil pump and high-capacity oil pan, Shelby main and head studs, High-performance fuel pumps and injectors, American Racing exhaust headers and X-pipe and Borla exhaust.  High-custom capacity cooling system.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Shelby-specification limited-slip 9 inch differential with a fluid cooler. Additional equipment fitted as part of the Shelby 1000 S/C package included a fabricated aluminum driveshaft along with a billet transmission support.  Shelby-branded six-piston front and four-piston rear Wilwood calipers over slotted and drilled rotors. Suspension enhancements include a Shelby K-member, front control arms, camber and caster plates, and a revised rear suspension.  It rolls on polished forged alloy Shelby wheels 20x9 front, and 20x10 rear, mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 255/35 up front and 295/35 in the rear.

The interior features Black leather front sport bucket seats with embroidered Shelby logos on the backrests.  Coordinating fold down rear seat and door panels.  Black console, carpet and dash.  Power driver’s seat, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, full and auxiliary gauges and an AM/FM/CD audio system.  A plaque mounted ahead of the shifter displays a Carroll Shelby signature and a serial number of CSM No. 07SS0054.

Much documentation, photos, factory and Shelby literature, production certificate and parts included.

This is a one of one Shelby 1000 build - a rare opportunity for a convertible Shelby 1000 that is fully documented and like new!
